Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Spray a large baking dish with nonstick cooking spray and boil lasagna noodles until al dente.
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef; drain excess fat and add tomato sauce with seasonings. Simmer for 15 minutes.
- For the béchamel sauce, melt butter in a saucepan over low heat; whisk in flour and gradually add milk until thickened. Season with salt and nutmeg.
- Layer the baking dish: start with meat sauce, followed by noodles, béchamel sauce, and mozzarella cheese. Repeat until all ingredients are used.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes; remove foil and bake an additional 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Let cool slightly before slicing and serving.
