- 16 oz ziti pasta
- 1 lb lean ground beef (80/20)
- 24 oz marinara sauce
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the ziti according to package instructions until al dente, drain, and set aside.
- In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until fully cooked. Drain excess fat and stir in marinara sauce and Italian seasoning; simmer for 5 minutes.
- In a large bowl, combine cooked ziti, ricotta cheese, half of the mozzarella, and the meat sauce until evenly coated.
- Layer half of the pasta mixture in a greased baking dish, followed by the remaining meat sauce and then top with the rest of the pasta mixture.
- Sprinkle remaining mozzarella on top and cover loosely with foil. Bake for 25 minutes; remove foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes until cheese is golden.
