Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix vegetable oil and granulated sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time.
- Stir in buttermilk and vanilla extract until combined. Add blue food coloring to desired shade.
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients until just combined.
- Divide batter between prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow cakes to cool completely before frosting with cream cheese frosting.
