Ingredients
- 3–4 lbs bone-in chicken pieces (thighs or drumsticks)
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- Salt, pepper, and paprika (to taste)
- Vegetable oil for frying (enough to fill the pan to 2 inches)
Instructions
- Marinate chicken in buttermilk mixed with spices for at least 1 hour (or overnight).
- In a separate bowl, combine flour with additional spices.
- Heat vegetable oil in a skillet to 350°F (175°C).
- Dredge each chicken piece in the seasoned flour until fully coated.
- Fry chicken in batches until golden brown, about 12-15 minutes per side.
- Drain on paper towels and let rest before serving.
