- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 2 cups mixed vegetables (carrots and peas)
- 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
- 1/2 cup whole milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a baking dish with nonstick spray.
- In a large skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Sauté chopped onions until translucent, then add ground beef and cook until browned.
- Stir in mixed vegetables and beef broth; simmer until heated through.
- In a separate bowl, mix flour, baking powder, cheese, salt, milk, and melted butter until just combined.
- Pour the meat mixture into the baking dish and dollop the biscuit batter on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until biscuits are golden brown.
