- 1 lb halal ground beef or turkey
- 1/2 cup plain breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 large egg
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 4 sub rolls
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella or provolone cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). In a bowl, combine ground meat, breadcrumbs, parsley, garlic powder, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix gently.
- Form mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
- While meatballs bake, warm marinara sauce in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Assemble subs by placing two or three meatballs in each toasted roll, generously topping with marinara sauce.
- Add shredded cheese on top and broil for 2 minutes until bubbly.
