Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line two 9-inch round cake pans with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour and baking powder.
- In a separate large bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy (about 3-4 minutes).
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well each time, followed by the vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix in the dry ingredients alternating with milk until just combined; avoid overmixing.
- Gently fold in the rainbow sprinkles until evenly distributed.
- Pour the batter into prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow cakes to cool in pans for 10 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
