- All-Purpose Flour
- Active Dry Yeast
- Granulated Sugar
- Salt
- Milk
- Eggs
- Vegetable Oil

Instructions
- Warm milk to about 110°F (43°C) and sprinkle in active dry yeast; let it sit until bubbly.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, granulated sugar, and salt. Add the yeast mixture and eggs, stirring until a shaggy dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in an oiled bowl, cover, and let it rise until doubled in size, about 1 hour.
- Roll out the dough to ½ inch thick and cut into squares or circles.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry beignets for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Remove from oil and dust generously with powdered sugar before serving.
