Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs one at a time followed by vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix in dry ingredients alternately with milk until just combined.
- Spoon the batter into cupcake liners, filling each about two-thirds full. Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- For the frosting, beat softened butter until creamy, then gradually add powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
