- 3–4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Mayonnaise (for sauce)

- Burger buns
- Fresh lettuce and pickles (for topping)
Instructions
- Marinate chicken breasts in buttermilk for at least one hour.
- Mix flour with salt, pepper, and any additional spices. Dredge marinated chicken in flour mixture until coated.
- Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat until shimmering.
- Fry each chicken breast for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
- Toast buns lightly and assemble by spreading mayonnaise on each half; add lettuce and pickles if desired.
- Serve immediately with the fried chicken sandwiched between the buns.
