Instructions
- Heat whole milk in a saucepan over medium heat until steaming.
- In a bowl, whisk together egg yolks and sugar until pale. Gradually add the hot milk while whisking.
- Return the mixture to low heat, stirring continuously until thickened. Add vanilla extract and chill.
- For the ganache, heat heavy cream, pour over chopped dark chocolate, and stir until smooth. Mix in butter.
- Spoon ganache generously over chilled custard and enjoy!
