- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- ½ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ½ cup chopped pecans (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, melt the unsalted butter. Mix in granulated and brown sugars until well combined.
- Whisk in the eggs one at a time along with the vanilla extract until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, sift together flour and cocoa powder. Gradually fold into the wet mixture until no streaks remain.
- Gently stir in chocolate chips and pecans if using.
- Spread the batter evenly into a greased pie dish and bake for 25-30 minutes, until edges are firm but center is still soft.
- Allow to cool slightly before serving.
