- 2 slices Halal bread (sourdough or whole grain)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp butter (room temperature)
- 1 tsp garlic powder (optional)
- 1/4 cup panko breadcrumbs (optional)
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients and heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Spread butter generously on one side of each slice of bread.
- Place one slice in the skillet, butter-side down, and layer with both cheeses.
- Top with the second slice of bread, butter-side up, pressing gently with a spatula.
- Cook for about 3-4 minutes until golden brown; flip carefully and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
- If using, sprinkle panko breadcrumbs on top after flipping; press gently to adhere.
- Remove from skillet, slice diagonally, and serve hot.
