Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream unsalted butter with granulated and brown sugars until fluffy (3-4 minutes).
- Mix in eggs one at a time with vanilla extract until smooth.
- Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
- For the cream cheese filling, beat softened cream cheese with powdered sugar until smooth.
- Drop cookie dough onto prepared sheets, press a dollop of cream cheese filling into each, then cover with more dough.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until edges are firm but centers remain soft. Cool on sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
