- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

- 2 cups whole milk
- 1 teaspoon salt

- 1/4 teaspoon paprika (optional)
- Breadcrumbs for topping (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Boil salted water in a large pot; cook macaroni until al dente, drain, and set aside.
- In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter; whisk in flour and cook for about one minute.
- Gradually add milk while whisking until thickened; stir in salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Remove from heat and mix in cheddar and Parmesan until melted.
- Combine cooked macaroni with cheese sauce; pour into a greased baking dish.
- Top with breadcrumbs if desired; bake for 20 minutes or until bubbly and golden.
