- 2 slices sourdough or whole grain bread
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons pizza sauce
- Your choice of toppings (pepperoni, bell peppers, olives)
Instructions
- Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
- Spread pizza sauce on one slice of bread. Layer with mozzarella cheese and desired toppings, then top with another slice of bread.
- Cook the sandwich in the skillet until the bottom is golden brown (about 3 minutes).
- Carefully flip the sandwich and cook until the other side is golden brown and cheese is melted (another 3 minutes).
- Remove from heat, let cool slightly, slice, and serve with extra marinara on the side.
