- 1 lb ground lamb or beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 medium carrots, diced
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
- 4 cups mashed potatoes (prepared with butter and milk)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and grease a baking dish.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground meat until browned (about 8-10 minutes). Drain excess fat.
- Sauté onions, carrots, and garlic in the same skillet until softened (about 5 minutes).
- Stir in frozen peas and beef broth; simmer for about 10 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Spread the meat mixture evenly in the baking dish and top with mashed potatoes.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until the top is golden brown. Serve hot.
