- 3/4 cup granulated sugar

- 3 cups rolled oats
- 1 cup chocolate chips (semisweet or milk)
- 1 cup M&Ms
- 1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts or pecans) (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, cream softened butter with brown and granulated sugars until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until combined.
- Gradually mix dry ingredients into wet mixture until just combined.
- Gently fold in rolled oats, chocolate chips, and M&Ms.
- Drop scoops of dough onto lined baking sheets about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden but centers remain soft.
- Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
